Ohlenschläger, Karin

Art critic and curator who specialises in contemporary and new media art, since 1985. She has been founding member and co-director of the MediaLabMadrid (2002-2006). She has directed Cibervisión_Festival Internacional de Arte, Ciencia y Tecnología at the Conde Duque Cultural Centre (2002) and at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid (1999), the Festival Internacional de Infoarquitectura, Ministerio de Fomento, Madrid (1997), as well as IN ART -Festival Internacional de Arte Cibernético, Tenerife (1996) and the Vídeo Forum Internacional at the Spanish Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid (1986-88), among others. Other exhibition projects include: Ecomedia_ecological strategies in today´s art (2007/08), Digital Transit (2006), banquete05_comunicación en evolución (2005) and banquete03_metabolismo y comunicación (2003). She has lectured internationally on topics related to media art and contemporary culture.
