Armesto, Pablo
(Schaffhausen, Switzerland, 1970) Lives and works in Gijon.

Visual Artist. He has a Diploma in Illustration and Design from the School of Fine Arts of Gijon. Trained in the field of the image, his work has been evolving towards installation and public art, a domain where he looks for interactivity between the medium and the beholder. In his pieces, Armesto explores and thematises critical issues of networks, displacements and the very concept of space. He has won several distinctions, including the Jovellanos (2006) and Alnorte (2005) grants. His work was included in a touring show on Visual Arts from the Principality of Asturias, presented in Salamanca, Madrid and Brussels, (2006); and Loirent, France (2005).
