(Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1967)

(Institut Cavanilles de Biodiversitat i Biologia Evolutiva, Valencia) PhD in Biology. A researcher in charge of the Theoretical Biology Group at the ICBiBE. For ten years, he was a post-doctoral researcher at: the National Museum of Natural History in Washington DC, USA; the Konrad Lorenz Institute for Evolution and Cognition in Altenberg, Austria; and The Salk Institute, California, USA. His research lines encompass multiple levels of biological organization, including early embryonic development and the breakdown of symmetry during embryo genesis, the generation of analytical methods to analyze morphological transformations over the course of evolution, evolutionary robotics, thought in the mind of the chess expert, and the relation between form and function in art and science.
